. The country contains the Balkan, Pirin, Rila, and Rhodope mountain ranges, with elevations as high as 3000 meters. To the east, there are 320 kilometers of beaches along the Black Sea coastline. The climate is varied, with cold and snowy winter months in the mountainous areas, but mostly seasonally pleasant everywhere else.
